Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka was a couple of years ago.

I remember the trip really well, because I remember feeling excited during my journey there.

Sri Lanka is one of those very under explored places, and I was eager to see what the country was all about.

Despite it being basically a bridge away from India's southern most point, I had the feeling that it would be way different.

And it was.

The landscape was stunning. I tried to capture it while also leaving as much space as I could. It was also quite a change to see so much blue in the sky, considering I had spent the majority of my life in one of the greyest cities in the world - Delhi.

The gallery below is a short collection of some of the pictures that I feel are the best out of the massive bulk of stuff I have.

Take a look, and leave a comment below! What was one place you visited that really blew your mind?

Why no watermarks?

I've already had tons of people pointing out that my pictures don't have a watermark.

There's a reason for this.

It's simple.

Watermarks butcher pictures.

It doesn't matter how small the text is or how funky the logo is, when I see a watermark on a picture, my immediate, instinctive reaction is that the photographer is more worried about the image itself than the emotion captured within it.

I understand that in this day and age, misuse of copyrighted property is huge.

There's an element of risk to not add my own watermark to my pictures. But I prefer the pictures being raw and unadulterated.

Obviously, every single one of the pictures on this website is copyrighted and is my property. And I do feel the need to mention that.

But I cannot control other people's actions. I can only focus on myself.

And I'm going to make sure that none of my pictures ever has a watermark.
